Education projects have been the mainstay of our company for the past 25 years, from one room extensions, refurbishments to the larger new builds, Sammon Builders have built them all.

We understand the Department of Education’s specifications, the standards and the tight timescales in education projects and are proud to see so many students move into their new schools to enjoy state of the art school buildings.

Grammar Post Primary School Sligo

The extension to Sligo Grammar School was completed in a live environment of 500 post-primary school pupils. This 2200m2 four storey extension included changing rooms, art room, computer room, library, staffroom, offices, boiler/plant room, lift, six additional general purpose classrooms, offices.

Construction of National School extension in Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan. Sammon Builders were main contractors on this 4 classroom extension to Drumkilly NS in Cavan.

Sammon Builders were main contractor on this school project which involved the construction of four new classrooms, resource room, staff room and associated site works, including carparking, installation of treatment plant and playing fields

Sammon Builders were responsible for the construction of a six room extension 400m2 to the school including special education rooms and extensive refurbishment to existing school approx 663m2, in a live school environment.

Project included 2 no. science classrooms,1 no. science laboratory preparatory room, store rooms, Special Needs Unit incl 2 base classrooms, practical activity room, central activity space, office. External works incl revised vehicular & pedestrian access, revised car parking and bus drop off zone, new hard and soft play areas, new sensory garden and alterations to front boundary and alterations to existing school boundary.

Our company was appointed main contractor and PSCS on this special needs unit extension to the existing post primary school, works included new set down areas, car parking , sensory garden, hard and soft play areas, drainage, foul services and ancillary works

St. Marys NS Virginia, Co. Cavan. Our company was appointed Main Contractor and PSCS on this project. It consisted of a 10 classroom extension to the existing school and refurbishment of the existing school.
